Davon Lamont Johnson passed away in his home at age 22 on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.DaVon was born on December 27, 1996, in the District of Columbia to Denise Lashawn Johnson. He attended public schools in the District and graduated from McKinley Technology High School in 2014. Recently, he was enrolled at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES), where he was planning to graduate with a degree in rehabilitation science.DaVon was easy-going and loved simple, yet iconic things in life, like classic kicks, J. Cole, and black jeans. He was an avid fan of the Redskins and Manchester United and enjoyed playing soccer and video games with friends at UMES. From an early age, he excelled in math and aspired to be a rehabilitation therapist.DaVon was known for his kind and compassionate spirit, strong work ethic, and composed demeanor. He will be most remembered for his courage and strength, which propelled him through life’s adversity, and for his loyal and giving nature, which compelled him to always be there for others.DaVon was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rose Marie Johnson. He is survived by his mother, Denise Johnson; sisters and brother, Danetta, Daoshia, Deshawnda, Danise, Denise, and Melvin; nephew, Demir; guardian family, Denise Tucci, Anisa Boyce, Nikki, Latifa, Brian, and James; Aunt Diane Johnson, and several uncles, and cousins.
