Burandt, DawnDawn M. Burandt, 49, Wausau, formerly of Birnamwood, died on Monday, August 7, 2017 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born on September 14, 1967 in Arlington Heights, IL, the daughter of the late Wilbur "Bill" Burandt and Dolores (Sieloff) Burandt of Birnamwood. Dawn was a 1985 graduate of Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a nursing degree in 1990. Dawn loved helping people and was in the nursing field her entire adult life most recently for Aspirus Cardiovascular Associates. She was a faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Birnamwood. Dawn loved sports, especially football, baseball and NASCAR where she attended many races. Dawn was a very caring person and enjoyed volunteering at the New Life Pet Adoption Center, Marathon City.Survivors include her mother, Dolores Burandt of Birnamwood; three brothers, Jim (Special friend, Eve) Burandt of Green Bay, Tim (Bev) Burandt of Westminster, CO and Dave (Kim) Burandt of DePere; four nieces and nephews, Jason (Amanda) Burandt, Mark Burandt, Sheyanne Burandt and Shayla Burandt and many cousins and friends.Dawn was preceded in death by her father, Wilbur "Bill" Burandt.The funeral service will be held at 1PM on Friday August 11, 2017 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Birnamwood. Rev. Matthew Christians will officiate. Interment will be in Forest Cemetery, Birnamwood. Visitation will be on Friday from 10AM until the time of service at the church.
