BUTLER — Dawn L. Levy, 59, died Friday, July 22, 2016, at Parkview Hospital, Randallia Drive, Fort Wayne. She was born on March 4, 1957, in Fort Wayne. She was lovingly adopted by Joseph and Mildred (Schuster) Payton. She was a 1975 graduate of North Side High School, Fort Wayne. Dawn married Artemas "Art" Levy in June of 1975 and he preceded her in death on Oct. 17, 1994. Dawn worked at International Paper (formerly Tri-Wall) in Butler for 20 years, where she was also a union representative. She enjoyed making jewelry, riding horses and antiquing. She is survived by a daughter; Amanda D. (Chad) Parrish of Butler, two grandsons, Jamin and Isaiah Parrish of Butler; one sister, Patti Ranus of Prescott, Arizona; one brother, Hank Runkel; her mother-in-law, Betty Mitchell of Auburn; three sister-in-laws, Kenna Levy, Ruby Harwell and Mary Whitmore, all of Auburn; two nieces, Robin and Sindy McCann of Fort Wayne; and other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her adoptive parents, and one sister, Dialene McCann. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2016, at the Butler United Methodist Church, 501 W. Green St., Butler, with Pastor Kevin Marsh officiating. Calling will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday prior to the services. Burial will follow in the Butler Cemetery.
