Plier, Dawn M.Dawn Marie Plier, age 47, of Neenah passed away at home with her family at her side on Thursday, September 14, 2017, after a tough, "never-give-up" battle with cancer. Dawn was born on July 25, 1970 at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain, Michigan to Robert James Anderson Sr. and Evelyn Darlene Anderson. Dawn joins her beloved father, Robert "Bob" in Heaven. Dawn went to school in Florence, Wisconsin where she graduated in 1988. Dawn married Steven P. Vassar in 1991. In 1997, Dawn and Steve had a son, Steven Hunter Vassar. In 2006, Dawn was remarried to Christopher Plier. In 2006, Dawn and Chris had a son, Johnathan James Plier. Dawn had so much faith in God, she never questioned, "Why me?" when she was diagnosed with cancer. Dawn always had a positive attitude. Dawn had many jobs and was a hard worker, she was never without a job. In 2007, Dawn graduated from NWTC and became a nurse so she could help others. Dawn loved spending time with her family. She loved horses ever since she was a little girl. Dawn loved all animals, especially her Doberman Pinscher dogs.She is survived by her husband, Christopher; her sons: Steven Vassar, Florence; Johnathan Plier, Neenah; her mother, Evelyn Anderson, Florence; sister: Becky (Ron) Wilcox, Florence; brother, Robert Jr. (Michelle) Anderson, Florence; father-in-law, James Plier; sister-in-law, Lisa (Randy) Vohen, Neenah; brother-in-law, Todd (Ann) Plier, Waukesha; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her father, Dawn was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Shirley Plier.Dawn will be missed dearly by all of those people she touched with her loving and caring actions and thoughts. Dawn was taken from us much too early, but God must have a plan for her. I'm sure she is smiling down on us all, along with her dad.A Memorial Service for Dawn will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Oakland officiating.
