We are saddened to announce the passing of Dawoud Malik, who left this world on July 10, 2024, in Brooklyn, New York. Born on June 1, 1979, Dawoud brought joy and laughter to all those around him.

He was the beloved husband of Tamyra Stewart, and together they raised a beautiful family of eight children: Tyjuan, Taeveon, Jahnae, Aaliyah, Amaya, Nazsir, Jayda, and Marvon Stewart. Dawoud was a dedicated father, always putting his family first and creating unforgettable memories with them.

He was the son of David Moore and Helen Pratt, who raised him with love and values that he passed on to his own family. Dawoud was also a proud grandfather of four grandchildren.

During his time on Earth, Dawoud worked at Aloe Construction, where he made lasting friendships and left a positive impact on everyone he met. His sense of humor and kindness will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Although we mourn the loss of Dawoud, we take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace. May his spirit live on in the hearts of his loved ones forever.
