Mrs. Dayna Sue Beavers, 59, of Murray, died Saturday, October 22, 2016, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.Dayna was born on April 16, 1957, in Portsmouth, OH and was a veteran of the United States Navy. She earned a Bachelor's in Human Resources as well as a Bachelor's in Business Administration from Athens State University in Athens, AL. She was a lifelong member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the County Honor Guard assisting with other veterans' last rites. She took pride in the fact that she was a "professional" flag-folder in her Navy years.She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Sparks. Surviving Mrs. Beavers is her mother, Katherine Sparks of Galion, OH; her husband, William Charles Beavers of Murray; a son, Zachary Beavers (Melissa) of Ashland City, TN; a daughter, Katherine Beavers of Murray; a brother, Rodney Sparks (Susan) of Galion, OH; a sister, Mary Burkhart (Ken) of Galion, OH and one grandchild, Jaycee Beavers of Ashland City, TN.A memorial service for Mrs. Beavers will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 29, 2016, at St. John's Episcopal Church in Murray.
