We gather here today to celebrate the life of Deacon James Haynes, who was born on August 26, 1960, in the bustling city of Chicago, Illinois. Deacon was the beloved son of Jesse and Vera Mae Haynes, and the loving spouse of Jessica Smith-Haynes, whom he married in year 30. Together, they raised three wonderful children, Carlos, Brandon, and Tyran.

Deacon was a proud graduate of Farragut High School and went on to work at Deacon until his well-deserved retirement in 2018. In his free time, he enjoyed working on cars, riding motorcycles, skating, and playing with his special grandchild.

On July 13, 2024, Deacon passed away due to a sudden heart attack. Though he may be gone, his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Rest in peace, Deacon. You will be deeply missed.
