Deanna Rathel Lutz, 48, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2016.Deanna was born on Dec. 5, 1967, in Opp, Ala. At a young age her family moved to Lancaster where she grew up and later lived a portion of her adult life. She graduated medical school from MUSC. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Rowell, and had two daughters, Sarah Rowell, now Stillson, and Mary Rowell, now Barrett. Along with her two daughters, she had one son, Connor Threatt, with her second husband Bruce Threatt. She was a dedicated pediatrician. She practiced medicine in doctor's offices and hospitals in Charlotte, Rock Hill and Lancaster. In 2014 she married her loving husband Theodore Lutz. Throughout her life she dedicated her time to her family and her patients. Loved by many, she has made an impact on a tremendous amount of lives both with her skills as a physician and with her love and kindness. She is survived by her three children, Sarah Stillson with her husband, Wayne Stillson, and their yet to be born child, Mary Barrett with her husband, Andrew Barrett, and Connor Threatt; her husband, Ted Luts; her stepchildren, Rachael, Stephany and Nick Lutz; her twin sister, Jeanna Rathel-White with husband, James; brother, Jesse Lee Rathel II with wife, Mary Rathel; parents Jesse Rathel with wife, Jenna Rathel, and their daughter, Madison Rathel, and MaryJean Krontz with husband, Bruce Krontz; and nieces and nephews, Justin, Christian, Karli and Mason Rathel. Along with her family she is survived by all of her patients whom she also considered to be her children. In lieu of gifts, please donate to the Pediatric Department of Piedmont Medical Center of Rock Hill. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. today, Nov. 30, at in the North Rock Hill Church, with interment to follow at 3:30 p.m. in Lancaster Memorial Park.
