Debra Jacquard, of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2024, at the age of 66 with family by her side at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. She was born on October 29, 1957, to Eileen Muise and the late Levi Frank Muise.
Debra is survived by her partner, Philip Bass, her two children, Lisa Jacquard-Houston (spouse David Houston) and Shea Jacquard (spouse Lynette Saulnier), her two beloved grandchildren Taylor, Raelyn, and her nephew Shawn O'Connell.
Her grandchildren, Taylor (Little Sweetie) and Raelyn (Peanut), were her pride and joy.
Debra dedicated many years of her life to her work at Scotia Garden Seafood as a production supervisor, where she made lasting friendships and earned the respect of her colleagues. Her job was very important to her, and she excelled in her work. Even during her illness, she hardly ever missed a day of work.
Outside of work, Debra enjoyed hunting, caring for her lawn and flowers, and most of all, spending time with her family. She cherished the moments spent with her loved ones, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever.
Debra's passing is a great loss to all who knew her. She will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering loyalty, and infectious laughter. Her presence brought joy to those around her, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She had a knack for telling it like it is, whether you wanted to hear it or not. Debra had a unique way of cutting through the nonsense and getting straight to the heart of the matter, much to the amusement of her friends and family.
While she may no longer be with us, Debra's spirit lives on in the memories of all who knew and loved her.
Debra had a long courageous battle with cancer, but she didn't let it get her down.
The family would like to thank Stacey d'Entremont, Melissa Ritchie, Nadine Clairmont and all the other 4-North Nurses that gave Debra phenomenal care. We can't thank you enough.
Until we meet again, Mom. We love you.
