HAMILTON — Debra J. Hamman, 61, of Hamilton passed away Friday, July 8, 2016, at Laurels of DeKalb in Butler. She was born on Aug. 20, 1954, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, to James and Geneva (Wise) Allen. Her father passed away; her mother survives in Camden, Michigan. She worked at the Angola State Bank and the Auburn State Bank. She then worked at, and was a board member at, Arrow Ministries Inc. for 18 years before retiring in 2014. She was a professional musician and a member of Hamilton Wesleyan Church. Debra married Marc A. Hamman on April 16, 1977, in the Angola United Methodist Church, and he survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Amanda G. (Daniel) Snow of Niles, Michigan, and Allison D. (Nate) Thomas of Fort Wayne; two grandsons, Jacob C. Snow and Andrew C. Snow; three sisters and two brothers, Danise (David) Tuckey of Quincy, Michigan, Danette (Tim) Rogers of Greenville, South Carolina, Dianna (Reggie) Olson of Jones, Michigan, Kevin Kratz of Greenville, South Carolina, and Jeremy (Amy) Kratz of Phoenix, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her father; a daughter, Rebekah Aubrey Hamman; and a son, Joel Allan Hamman. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Hamilton Life Center in Hamilton, Indiana, with the Rev. David Leitzel officiating. Calling is Tuesday, July 12, 2016, from 2- p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Hamilton Life Center, and also one hour prior to the service Wednesday. Memorials can be directed to the Hamilton Life Center.
