Debra S. SmithBUCYRUS: Debra S. Smith age 61, of Bucyrus, formerly of Ashland, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was born on September 30, 1955 in Ashland, the daughter of the late Earl and Mary (Martin) Phelps. Debra was employed with I.B. Tech. in Bucyrus for the last 5 years, and previously been employed with Baja Boats in Bucyrus for 10 years, Timken in Ashland for 10 years and also Eagle Rubber Ashland. Debra was an avid Bingo player and reader. She also enjoyed Facebook games, had been a Steelers Fan, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.Survivors include her children, John (fiancée Heather Clinard) Smith of Bucyrus, Penny (husband Heath) Sutter of Shiloh, Freddie Scott of Bucyrus, and Roger Scott of Boston; her grandchildren, Tiffany Sutter, Nathan (wife Breanna) Sutter, Heather Sutter, Mary Sutter, Joey Lester, and Lindsay Scott; her great grandchildren, Leah Clark and Elizabeth Sutter; her sister, Pat (husband Bill) Patterson of Ashland; along with her brother, Bruce Phelps of Bailey Lakes.Funeral services will be held at Heyl Funeral Home on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Dan Rebon officiating. Burial will follow at Ashland County Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family 2 hours prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. till service time.
