Delbert A. CornettZanesville: Delbert A. Cornett, 86, of Zanesville, passed away on Friday July 14, 2017 at Southeastern Ohio Medical Center. He was born on June 12, 1931 in Caldwell, Ohio, a son of the late Harry and Rosa (Crock) Cornett. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Miriam (McFrederick) Cornett. Three children Linda Cornett, Rex (Sharon) Cornett, and Kent (Wanda) Cornett. Grandchildren Neil (Lindsey) Cornett, Sarah (Derek) Brown, Nicole (Joey) Moore, Katie (Andy) Crabtree, Cassie (Scotty) Pettit, Rachel Cornett, Jared (Tiffany) Cornett, and Stephanie Cornett (Cody Bussey). Nineteen great-grandchildren Halle, Noah, Amelia, Brody, Torrance, Xander, Derek, Drake, Drew, Carter, Elleigh, Kaylynn, Leigha, Marleigh, Kyler, Haylee, Kace, Austyn, Harper. Two brothers Ed (Judy) Cornett and Carl (Linda) Cornett. Three sisters-in-law Mary Cornett, Harriet Cornett, and Anne Cornett. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law Melville and Laura (Reed) McFrederick. Brothers Paul Cornett, Clarence Cornett, and Norman Cornett. One sister Mary Agnes (Saling) Scott. He had been employed at Dutro Ford as a mechanic, Goss Brothers Tire as a heavy equipment tire changer, Sidwell Brothers and Central Ohio Coal Company as a heavy equipment operator, and after retirement he worked for Fink's Used Cars as a driver. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday July 17, 2017 at WILLIAM THOMPSON & SON FUNERAL HOME 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday July 18, 2017. Father David Cornett officiating and burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery.
