Delbert Earl Fincher, JrDelbert Earl Fincher, Jr., 86 years old, passed away on May 31, 2017, at his home in Brandon, MS. He was born on November 2, 1930, in Marlow, Oklahoma, to Delbert Earl (Jack), Sr. and Nona Fincher. He joined the United States Navy and was a Korean War veteran. He later joined the United States Air Force, and served for four years, while stationed in Del Rio, Texas. Earl married Peggy Joyce Kersh on April 26, 1958. They were happily married for 59 years. He was a member of Pinelake Church for 30 years. He enjoyed volunteering at Pinelake, boating, visiting with friends, and working on various building projects. However, he was happiest when spending time with his family. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert Earl and Nona Fincher. Earl is survived by his wife, Peggy Kersh Fincher of Brandon, MS; his daughter, Karen Fincher Cole of Brandon, MS; his daughter, Pam Fincher Fulcher and son-in-law, Dr. Todd Fulcher of Brandon, MS; his grandchildren, Jordan Fulcher Lundy of Madison, MS, Blaire Fulcher of Brandon, MS, and Summer Fulcher of Denver, CO; his great-grandchildren, Joshua Fulcher, Daniel Lundy, and Isabelle Lundy; his sister, Shirley Crews and brother-in-law, William Crews of Raleigh, NC; his sister, Diana Kay Anderson and brother-in-law Jim Anderson, of Chickasha, OK; his loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held at Pinelake Church, Brandon, MS, Monday, June 5, 10 am - 12 pm, with a memorial celebration to follow at 12 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made by check to Pinelake Benevolence Fund, Pinelake Church 6071 Highway 25, Brandon, MS 39047.
