Delbert LaVerne GrahamDelbert LaVerne Graham, 85, of West Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014, at 8:37 p.m. at IU Health Arnett. Delbert was born on March 4, 1929 in Clark County, IL to the late Pearl and Sarah (Cole) Graham. He was a graduate of Martinsville High School in Illinois, and then went on to serve in the Army during the Korean War. Delbert worked as the District Manager for Western Union in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio for 19 years, and then for the cable company Telesis Corp., where he served as the company's auditor. Delbert loved wood working and gardening, and he was a former Rotarian. Surviving are three children, Melody (husband: Bruce) Noah of West Lafayette, Gary (wife: Jessica) Graham of Lebanon, and Violet (husband: Alex) Waters of West Lafayette. Also surviving are one sister, Lois Hart of Jacksonville, FL, 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.He is preceded in death by two sons, Terry Graham and Kent Graham, and three siblings, Marjorie Reagles, Lealand Graham, and Neva Johnson.Memorial services will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at Friendship House (1010 Cumberland Ave., West Lafayette, IN 47906).
