Delia Clara MarquetteAnnandaleDec. 31, 1939 - Sept. 30, 2017Delia Clara Marquette, the daughter of Lawrence and Florence (Wakeman) Miller was born on December 31, 1939 in St. Paul, MN. She grew up in Palmer, a small township within Clear Lake, MN on Briggs Lake. Delia married Clark Marquette on May 20, 1972 and started their family in Maple Lake, MN. God blessed their marriage with three children Kevin (deceased), Denise, and Darin. In her past time Delia would listen to country music, Hank Williams and Patsy Cline were among her favorites. She enjoyed playing games such as Bingo, Yahtzee, cards, and putting puzzles together. She had a passion for feeding the birds as they would fly in front of her window for her to watch. Being around family and friends was very important to Delia and she will be forever missed by those who knew and loved her. Delia C. Marquette passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Annandale Care Center in Annandale, MN at the age of 77 years old. She is survived by her loving children Denise Marquette (Chris Johnson) of Evansville and Darin (Julie) Marquette of Foley; grandchildren Bryce Marquette of Buffalo and Ashley Helberg (Mitch) of Buffalo; great granddaughter Harlee; brother Charles (Ginny) Miller of Alexandria; sisters Violet (Ervin) David of Foley, Ruth (John) Pappenfus of Royalton, and twin sister Celia Marquette of Maple Lake; former husband Clark Marquette of Herman; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Kevin Todd Marquette and parents Lawrence & Florence Miller. Visitation will be Thursday, October 5th from 4:00-8:00 PM at Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. Funeral Service will be Friday, October 6th at 3:00 PM also at Peterson Chapel with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Jeff Droogsma will officiate. Special music by Don Marquette. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Buffalo and a dinner at the Buffalo Legion. Pallbearers will be Jeff Marquette, Jesse Marquette, Travis Marquette, Brian Pappenfus, Neil Pappenfus and Eric Evenski. The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo is serving the family.
