Delicia Tafoya Trambley was born on April 17, 1931, and returned home to her Heavenly Father on April 29, 2015, 58 days following her husband Decky's death. Delicia was born to Praxedes and Estefanita Tafoya and had four brothers and seven sisters. On Nov. 9, 1953, she married the love of her life, Frank (Decky) Trambley. They were married for 61 years and had six children.Delicia worked at Mora Abstract Company in her early 20s, and after she married Decky, they together opened up their business of Decky's Meats in 1966 and raised their six children. She came from a large, hard-working family. She was a very loving, strong woman, a wonderful wife, and beautiful mother. Her dedication was always to her family and friends and she always welcomed everyone in her home with open arms. She was an unselfish person and made sure everybody's needs were taken care of. She had trials in her life: rheumatic fever at the age of 12, caretaker for both her parents, losing her son, Joseph, at the his age of 14 after an extended illness. She relied on her faith to give her the strength she needed and always told us, "God will not give you a cross you cannot carry." Whenever her grandchildren had a function of any sort, she was always present. She was the best cook in the world. She made homemade bread and jam for her "coffee drinkers." She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Gertrude's Catholic Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank (Decky) Trambley; son, Joseph; father, Praxedes Tafoya; mother, Estefanita Tafoya; grandson, Michael Edward Meadows; father-in-law, Frank Leon Trambley; mother-in-law, Josephine Strong Trambley; brothers, Nash Tafoya, wife, Toni, Sam Tafoya, wife, Trinnie, Praxedes Tafoya; sisters, Agatha Aragon, husband, Pete, Estella Aragon, husband, Henry, Marie Lovato, husband, Inocencio; sisters, Irene Vigil, Mercedes Crollett; daughter-in-law, Diane Trambley; sisters-in-law Reme Tafoya, Jeannine Martinez, and Gayle Lester; brothers-in-law, Ernest Martinez and Chuck Lester.She is survived by children, Rose Trambley, Praxedes Trambley, wife, Minerva, Frank Leon Trambley, Josephine Meadows, husband, Michael Meadows; Stephanie Trambley Trujillo, husband, Dennis Trujillo; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Katie Martinez, husband, Alfonso; brother, Ernest Tafoya; brothers-in-law, Seferino Crollett and Bonifacio Vigil; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.Funeral services for Mrs. Trambley will be held at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Mora as follows: viewing will begin at 6 p.m. today (Friday) followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. Celebration of the funeral mass by Father Paul Grala, SOLT, is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday.
