AUBURN — Delight E. Norris, age 80, of Auburn passed away on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at DeKalb Health in Auburn. She was born on Jan. 29, 1936 in Decatur, Indiana, to Isaac and Crystal (Roop) Wagner. Mrs. Norris was a 1954 graduate of Decatur High School in Decatur. She married Harold Eugene Norris on Sept. 18, 1954, in Decatur. He preceded her in death on Sept. 9, 2015. Mrs. Norris worked for 12 years as a bookkeeper for DeKalb Farm Mutual Insurance Co. in Auburn. She was also a homemaker and moved many times over the years in support of her husband's career in the United States Air Force. She and her family lived in Illinois, Missouri, Texas, Michigan and Indiana as well as Frankfort, Germany, and Ojana, Okinawa in Japan. She was a member of the Auburn American Legion, County Line Church of God in Auburn and the Shifters Car Club. She loved her dog, Peanut and she especially loved watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren participate in sports and their different activities. Survivors include a son and daughter-in- law, Rick and Shawn Norris of Monroeville; five grandchildren, Amber (Matt) Palmer, Cameron (Melissa) Norris, Angie (Andrew) Giese, Tara Scheumann and Shannon Scheumann; five great-grandchildren, Aidan Palmer, Saige Norris, Eden Norris, Maya Norris and Rowyn Norris; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Glenda and Stan Haggarty of Waterford, Michigan, and Mary Ellen Rumschlag of Dearborn, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Norris; and a brother, Don Wagner. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 S. Center St. in Auburn. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday, Feb.24, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn. Pastor Steve Schlatter of County Line Church of God will officiate.
