DeLoma Good Burgett, treasured mother and grandmother passed away on October 31, 2016 after a long illness surrounded by her family. She was born on April 1, 1933 to Steven and Mary Karnes in Bayard, NE. A long-time Canon City resident, DeLoma and her former husband, Joseph of 27 years were in the antique business. DeLoma's knowledge of antiques was vast as was her passion for the profession. For many years they participated in the monthly Antiques & Collectibles Shows in Colorado Springs, hosted a semi-annual Antiques & Collectibles Show at the Pueblo State Fair Grounds and oversaw several estate sales in the Southern Colorado area. DeLoma also was passionate about children in need and for many years coordinated a clothing drive for children in Mexican villages. There was never a child that went without clothing or food if she knew their family was in need. DeLoma also loved the Denver Broncos and never went anywhere without wearing her Bronco hat! The most precious memory many people have of DeLoma was her laugh. You always knew DeLoma was close by when you heard it! DeLoma leaves behind to cherish her memory, former husband, Joseph Burgett, children Sindy (Nick) Biernacki of Pueblo, CO, James Schmick of Bayard, NE, Robert (Debbie) Schmick of McCook, NE, Dixie Good of Colorado Springs, CO, Debra (Michael) Callin of Pueblo, CO and Susan Good of Canon City, CO along with 18 grandchildren and 29 great-grand children. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. A private family memorial will be held by her family to celebrate her life.
