It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Delores Atkinson on June 1, 2024. Delores, born on September 24, 1959, in Smithfield, North Carolina, lived a life filled with various jobs and three children - Antwain, Cedric, and Fredrick.

Delores, the daughter of John Mason and Edith Williams, attended Westside High School where she presumably learned the skills needed for her many diverse career paths. She could often be found working diligently at her various jobs, though specifics were never shared.

Despite her accomplishments as a mother and worker, Delores's greatest joy came from her nine grandchildren. Their names may remain a mystery, but their presence undoubtedly brought her immense happiness.

Delores leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love for her family, and an uncanny ability to keep her grandchildren entertained. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your local library in her memory - a place she often visited to escape the chaos of daily life.
