Delores Carmen Bryan, 75, of Ajax, Ontario, passed on March 24, 2022 in Kingston, Jamaica.
Auntie Carmen as she is affectionately called by her extended Canadian family, was born in Toll Gate, Clarendon, Jamaica to Algalita Taylor & Lyndon Bryan who both preceded her. The only child to her mother who passed away when she was 3 months old.
As an only child, Auntie Carmen created a large family of her own. She leaves behind nine children – Ann (Lascelles); Jacqueline; Michelle; Dawn (Hanif); Richelle (John); Richard (Keisha); Kerry Ann; Rohan (Sharna) and Ryan as well as 26 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Auntie Carmen was strong in her Christian faith and her greatest joy in life was her relationship with her children and grandchildren. She was extremely proud of her family and told the funniest stories of her life in Jamaica. She made friends everywhere she went and always took the time to listen to people and hear their stories. She was kind and always offered to help even in times when she did not have the resources to provide that help.
She was not a wealthy woman but had a wealth of love and kindness that she shared with everyone she met. She loved to cook and bake and her delicious sweet potato puddings got her in trouble with Dawn who was concerned about her weight. She loved her flowers and gardening and took pleasure in the simple things of life.
Auntie Carmen, rest in peace. We are blessed to have had you in our lives. You will be missed and your memories will live in our hearts forever. WE LOVE YOU!

Auntie Carmen, you have and will always share a very special place in our hearts. Nicole and I will never forget the sharing of your love for Mikayla in her pre-walk months where you taught us the tricks of the trade in putting her to sleep 🥇and just child care in general. Maliek wasn't fortunate to get that from you but certainly did through us.
We love you and we will thoroughly miss you. That belly laugh always got me everytime 🤣.
Rest well my love. Till we all meet again.

Mommy, I'm so broken right now. You were my best friend other than Jesus, my confidant. I will miss our talks 7-8 times daily or more, sometimes we had nothing to day but just wanted to hear your comforting voice, if I was hurt you were hurt, sick you'd be sick. You poured out your love in me and now your no longer here. I'm so hurt but will continue to stand on the promises of God because I know He is more than enough and able to do abundantly, exceedingly above that we ask.I've called you so many times in hopes you would pick up the phone and this would only be a bad dream. It's almost a week you've gone to rest and each day I ask Jesus to tell you I send my love. I love you for all eternity until we meet again my wonderful mother, sleep well!

My deepest and sincere condolences on the lost of Ms. Carmen. She was an amazing, loving hard working woman and indeed someone that showed love to everyone that I saw her interact with. Although relocation separated us, she always held a special place in my heart. I am thankful Shanice was able to meet her and was able to experience some of that radiant of love, even if it was only for a moment.
To the Family, I pray for your strength and and God's comfort during this difficult time. May the memories of her bring you peace in the days to come and remember that " God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble". Psalm 46:1

A beautiful woman, mother, grandmother. Giving God thanks for her life that was shared with all. A lover of God and people she was, not to mention her children and grandchildren. May God be praised for the sufficiency of His Grace and mercies during her lifetime.
May Aunty Carmen's soul rest in peace.
To Dawn, Richelle and the rest of the family, may you find laughter/smiles in the sweet/indelible memories.

Auntie Carmen was a warm, strong and vibrant woman with a generous heart, sometimes too generous. She was also a lot of fun. We really thought she'd outlive us all because she had so much energy. We're still processing that she's no longer with us. The fact that she really is with The Lord helps, but...we weren't finished with her yet.

My dear Auntie Carmen, you were family to Richard, Risann, Rachael and me. We are going to miss your kind and thoughtful ways. Your great sense of humor and all the wonderful stories you told on our way to and from church. I will miss your yummy hominy porridge and delicious potato pudding but most importantly, I am going to miss you. Girls out will never be the same without you. RIP my dear Auntie Carmen until I meet again 🙏🏽.

My beautiful grandma, I will miss you dearly. I remember this day as if it were yesterday. Your shoes had broken and Grandma G gave you her house slippers to wear so you wouldn’t walk barefoot. I look back at this memory fondly and all the others our family has shared over the years. I’ll remember when you walked me to and from the bus in elementary school and when you’d make sure you cooked my favourite food when I would come home from university. I’ll remember our shared love of purses and our gossip sessions on the couch late at night. You were and always will be a light in all our lives. Rest In Peace.

I’m beyond heartbroken of Ms Carmen’s passing. We’ve all lost a kind and joyful person. There are so many words I can list here of what she meant to me. However, I’ll just share that she’s a gift to make me laugh and makes the best sweet potato pudding! Yep, I flew to Canada from USA for it! It’s that good and she’d always honor my request. I’m going to need her to visit me in my dreams with that recipe (or Dawn, you gotta share it w/me:) While she’ll be very greatly missed, I just know we’re going to spend so much more of our time sharing some great memorable stories of the time spent with her.
Journey on you beautiful soul - RIP
