Kirchner, Delores M.Delores M. Kirchner, age 85 of Clintonville passed away peacefully Saturday evening, February 25, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.Delores was born on May 16, 1931 in Pelican Lake as the daughter of the late Everett and Hazel (Smith) Jenkins. She attended Enterprise Grade School near Rhinelander. Delores met her future husband, Harold Kirchner when their fathers were dealing on a horse sale. The couple were united in marriage on September 15, 1951 in Shiocton where they resided on Harold's family farmstead. Delores and Harold moved to Bear Creek and eventually to Clintonville in 1981 where they were members of the St. Martin Lutheran Church. Delores looked forward to attending church each week and put her trust in her Savior. She had a love for children that even extended beyond her own 14. This love led Delores to many years of working at the Tiny Truckers Day Care in Clintonville. Some of her other interests included playing skip-bo, bird-watching, shopping rummage sales, and working on word search puzzles. Her family takes comfort knowing she went home to be with her Lord and is now reunited with her husband Harold who preceded Delores in death on October 11, 2004. Art) Kirchner, Appleton; Tammy (Spec. Fr. Joe) Carpenter, Wisconsin Rapids; Mark Kirchner, Clintonville; & Mary (Gary) Berliner, Greenville.31 Grandchildren, 52 Great-Grandchildren, and a Great-Great-Grandchild on the way.Sisters: Margie Melby, Linda Jenkins, & Lorraine (Harold) Weidman, all of Rhinelander.Brothers: Wilfred (Trudy) Jenkins & Edward (Sue) Jenkins, all of RhinelanderNumerous nieces & nephews.Also her special pets: Tiff, Journey, Lady, & Riley.Delores was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold, a son Thomas, sisters; Rosie Call & Beulah Jenkins, a brother Robert Jenkins, a son-in-law Lloyd Fye, and a brother-in-law Lawrence Melby.Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 11 AM at the St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville with Rev. Christian Burg officiating. Interment will be at the church cemetery later in spring.
