Delorus M. "Dee" Wright, 83Delorus M. "Dee" Wright, 83, of Monticello, died at 8:30 pm, Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at White Oak Health Campus in Monticello. She was born on December 19, 1929 in White County to the late William and Helen (Carr) Baer. On November 30, 1947 she married Calvin Wright at the Idaville Methodist Church. He preceded her in death September 30, 2011.She was a 1947 graduate of Idaville High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Monticello United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Merri-Mixers Extension Homemakers since 1949 and was past county president. She was a 4-H leader and served on the County Extension Board. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cake decorating, and most especially, baking and decorating cookies. She was a loyal Twin Lakes sports fan. Everyone that knew Dee will forever remember her heartwarming smile and contagious laughter.She is survived by three daughters, Jackie (Raul) Martinez of Garden Grove, California, Judy Murphy of Plymouth, Jonell (Bill) McGovern of Idaville; son Mike (Patti) Wright of Monticello; brother Keith (Linda) Baer of Charleston, South Carolina; three sisters, Betty Hunt of Idaville, Phyllis (Gene) Mitman of Fairborn, Ohio, Karen Irvin (husband, Peter Magnolo) of Minneapolis, Minnesota; nine grandchildren; and thirteen, great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ted Baer; sister, Gavis Neal; son-in-law, Brent Murphy; and grandson, Tim McGovern.Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.Funeral services will be at 10 am Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Brian Beeks of the Monticello United Methodist Church officiating.Burial will follow in the Idaville Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be given to the Monticello United Methodist Church, 200 South Main Monticello, IN.
