Demcy J. Romero Jr., 28, a resident of Sapello, and former resident of Mora, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013. Demcy was born on Aug. 11, 1984 in Las Vegas to Jovita and Demcy Romero.Demcy was a fun, loving and charismatic person. He loved driving semi-trucks and mud bogging. Shortly after he obtained his diploma, he went to school to get his CDL so that he could follow his dream. He was a very hard-working person who always found something to do. Demcy was an amazing father, and anyone who knew him knew that his children were his everything. Demcy had a smile that could brighten the darkest room. He cherished his family and friends and touched the lives of many people with his charming and warm personality. Demcy was a very happy person and was always smiling even in the toughest of times. No matter where he was or what he was doing, he always popped in to chat with family and friends. He always made time for those he loved. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Julia Molinar; paternal grandfather, José Demetrio Romero; great-great grandfather Antonio Mora, and great-great-grandmother, Lisa Urban; a very special uncle that he considered his grandfather Joe Narciso Romero and numerous other relatives and friends. He is survived by his parents, Demcy and Jovita Romero; three children, Emilio, Demetrio José and Savannah Romero; fiancée, Felicia Salazar; grandmother, Rebecca Romero; grandfather, Leo Garcia; brother, Gabriel Romero; sister, Rebecca Romero; special aunts and uncles, Sharon Romero, Anastacia Gallardo, Jerry Garcia, Ivan and Loretta Molinar, Merle Molinar, Douglas and Bernie Romero, Dominic Romero, Margie, Eva, Roger and Billy Garcia; father-in-law, Edward Salazar and wife Dolores; mother-in-law, Jerilyn Morning and boyfriend Michael Johnstone; brothers-in-law, Nick and Phillip Salazar; sisters-in-law, Deborah Arosigua, Jenna Lopez and Paloma Trujillo; nieces and nephews, Matayo and Santiago Herrera, Luke, Savannah, Noah, and Alexandra Romero, Elias Trujillo, numerous other relatives and friends whom he loved very much.Prayer service will be held on at 7 p.m. today (Friday) at the Mora Valley Baptist Church in Cleveland. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Mora Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Rios officiating. Interment will take place at the Presbyterian Cemetery in Mora with the following serving as casket bearers: Allan Gallardo, Roger Romero Jr., Joshua Romero, Michael Padilla, Ivan Molinar, and Lee Abers.
