Dennis Tenney, 67, of North Ridgeville, passed away Friday July 7, at his residence following a long illness to be with his wife Joanne Tenney who recently passed as well. He was born January 21, 1956 in Charleston, WV. Mr. Tenney was a resident of North Ridgeville for many years & shared a beautiful marriage, creating countless memories with his wife, Joanne. Mr. Tenney was employed as a maintenance worker for the City of North Ridgeville for the past 11 years. Previously he had been employed at LTV Steel in Cleveland. Mr. Tenney was also a former auxiliary police officer for the North Ridgeville Police Department. He formerly served as a softball coach and booster member for the North Ridgeville Parks and Recreation Department. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Mr. Tenney is survived by: one son, Michael Tenney (Keysha) of Cleveland; two daughters, Jennifer Lewis (Chris) of Elyria and Mary Tenney of Brunswick; six grandchildren, Joseph, Tyler, Courtney, Naji, Cameron and Zoe; two sisters, Alice Sheeler and Brenda Hedden; and by two brothers, William and Joe Tenney. The family will receive friends on July 15, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Road, (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. The funeral service will be July 16, 2023 at 11:00am at the funeral home. Mr. Tenney’s niece, Shellie Robb, will officiate. Burial will be at Sugar Ridge Cemetery in North Ridgeville.
