Dennis BoatrightGrimesDennis Boatright, of Grimes, passed away on February 8, 2017, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. A memorial service for family and friends will be announced at a later date. Dennis was born on August 5, 1942 in Hawthorn, CA. He graduated from Urbandale High School in 1960. Following high school, he served in the United States Navy from 1959-1965.Preceding him in death are his parents, Kenneth and Phyllis; brother, Dick; and 2 grandchildren.He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Margaret Ann; children, Nick (Heidi) Boatright, Gina (Dan) Heathcott, Ginger Cargile, and Angela Boatright; grandchildren, Zack, Nathan, Carmen, Randy, Mark Daniel, Angel, Olivia, Cheyenne, Chloe, Summer, Adam, Melanie, and Charlotte; great-grandchildren, Leah and Ally Rae; sisters, Sally Rae, Dixie, Dianna, and Roxanne; and brother, Robin.In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
