Dennis C. "Denny" Gipe, 64MT. SUMMIT - Dennis C.  "Denny" Gipe, 64, of Mt. Summit, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at St. Vincent Heart Hospital, surrounded by family and friends. He was born on February 21, 1952 in Anderson, the son of Bill and Lillian (LeRoy) Gipe.Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of thirty-three years, Betty Gipe; mother, Lillian Gipe of Alexandria; daughter, Gayle (Brent) Frost-Soliday of Mt. Summit; son, Dale Frost of Mt. Summit; grandchildren, Luke Soliday of Mt. Summit and Tristan Soliday of New Castle; siblings, Paul (Nancy Nies) Gipe of Bakersfield, CA, Lee Ann Frost of Alexandria, William Gipe of Harrisburg, PA, Gina (Curt) Brisco of Alexandria; nephews, Derek and Zak Frost; nieces, Angela (Tom) Rao,  Linda "Shelly" (Bill) Stewart, Bethany Brisco and Emma (Evan) Bates; three great-nephews; brother and sister-in-law Jim (Linda) Weaver and Larry Gooding as well as a large extended family.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by, a brother, Jimmy Gipe and brother-in-law, Tim Frost.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2017 at Sproles Family Funeral Home. Eulogy will be delivered by longtime friend, Bryan Peggs and the opportunity will be given for others to share memories.  Burial will follow at Mt.
