Danke, DennisDennis Danke, 70 of Omro, Wisconsin passed away on January 21, 2017 surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with illness. Dennis was born on May 30, 1946 to the late Vernon and Margaret (Petrie) Danke. Dennis worked construction most of his life. On April 27, 1978, he married Barbara Deer in Eagle River, WI. They went on to have a wonderful loving family of their own. Dennis was a devout man of God. He was a great cook who loved the outdoors and liked to go fishing and dancing with his wife and children. He also loved the Packers and the Brewers, cookouts with friends and family, and gardening. One of the most memorable pastimes the family shared with Dennis was seeing the parades in town. Dennis had a great sense of humor and took great care of his family, especially his wife, Barbara with whom he admittedly spoiled. They shared a love like no other and a very strong bond.Dennis is survived by his wife, Barbara, of 38 years. He is also survived by his children: Daniele (Jerry Witkowski) Danke, Michael (April Mathe) Deer, Mary (Kenneth) Eckstein, Kevin (Lindsay) Deer; His Grandchildren: Terry, Matthew, Dylan, Katie, Kane, and Chelsey; His Great-grandchildren: Cooper and Paisley, as well as many other family members and friends. Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Margaret (Petrie) Danke, and a grandson, Christopher Danke. A funeral service for Dennis will be held on Wednesday January 25, 2017 at Kwiatkowski Funeral Home at 6:00 PM. A visitation will be held at the Funeral Home prior to the funeral service from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Pastor Richard Bartholomew will be officiating. A burial for Dennis will take place at Eagle River Cemetery in Eagle River, Wisconsin.
