Dennis Jahns1948 - 2014Dennis Jahns, 66, of Kenosha passed away on Friday, Sept. 12, 2014, at UHS-St. Catherines.Dennis was born on Feb. 17, 1948, in Kenosha, the son of the late George and Gilda (Misurelli) Jahns. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha. He was a member of the U.S. Army. Dennis married Pamela Ruehle on June 6, 1981, in Waukegan, Ill. He was employed for many years at Guttormsens Recreation Center, and later as a manager at the Seventh Avenue Store, where he enjoyed interacting with his customers and employees. Dennis was a member of the Kenosha Noon Lions Club where he held many positions and was a recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellow. His hobbies included woodworking, bowling, golfing, and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Dennis had a wonderful sense of humor and was generous beyond words.Survivors include his wife, Pamela Jahns of Kenosha; daughters, Lori Jahns, Amanda (Bob) Becker, Andrea (Dan) Bendon, Abbey (James Gum) Jahns all of Kenosha; his step-father, Arthur DeReu, who raised him since he was a child; a sister, Jennie (Dick) Gardisky of Kenosha; a sister-in-law, Loretta Parise of Racine; grandchildren, Brandon, Kaila, Natalie, Ruby, Zoe, Jared, Tyler, Liam, James, and Jake. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Dominick Parise.A visitation will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, at Kenosha Funeral Services from 5-8 p.m. and Wednesday Sept. 17, 2014, at Kenosha Funeral Services from 9:30-10 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 10 a.m. Dennis family would like to thank Dr. Joe Garretto & Staff, the Nursing Staff of UHS-St. Catherines, and his family & friends for all of their support.
