Dennis Juan Martinez, 52, a resident of Las Vegas passed away on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe.He was born on March 20, 1962 in Springer to his parents, Dionicio Martinez and Priscilla Chavez Martinez. He enjoyed music and playing the organ.He is preceded in death by his father, Dionicio Martinez; sisters, Juanita, Mary and Gloria Martinez; brother, Johnny Martinez; paternal grandparents, Gonzalo and Aurelia Martinez, and maternal grandmother, Celina Chavez.He is survived by his mother, Priscilla Martinez of Wagon Mound; brothers, Gonzalo Martinez and wife, Liz, of Leadville, Colo., and Anthony Martinez of Wagon Mound; sister, Ernestine Valdez of Las Vegas; friend, Darlene Trujillo and family of Albuquerque; best friend, Claudio Tapia, of Las Vegas; brother-in-law, Bob Martinez; special nieces, Jennifer Valdez, Sophia Martinez, Brittany Rosales, Charmaine Martinez, and Priscilla Carrillo, special nephews, Manuel Valdez, Jr., Juanito Martinez, and George Carrillo, numerous other relatives and many friends.A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas. Funeral service will be conducted at 9 a.m. Wednesday with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Mt.
