Thompson, DennisDennis P. Thompson, age 58 of Kewaunee died on January 12, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital, West Allis, WI. He was born on February 15, 1958 in Kewaunee to the late George and Martha (Linzmeier) Thompson.Dennis graduated from Kewaunee High School in 1976 where he excelled in wrestling. After school, he worked in construction building pole barns for several years and then took over the family farm in1980 which he operated until the time of his death. He was a dedicated Packer fan and thoroughly enjoyed playing sheepshead with his friends and neighbors. He also enjoyed fishing with his son, Jesse and loved spending time with Jesse, Amanda and his granddaughter, Lilah.Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Jesse and Amanda Thompson, Menomonee Falls, WI; one granddaughter: Lilah; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Jack and Jane Thompson; of Kewaunee; Mark Thompson, Algoma; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Judy and Jim Bell, Barron, WI; Jean and Rick Pendl, Holmen, WI; Mary Holub and special friend, Dean, Green Bay, WI; an aunt: Joan (Bob) Karl, Kewaunee; one uncle Tony (Anna) Linzmeier, Wisconsin Rapids, WI along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother: David Thompson.Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee until the time of services.
