Dennis Wayne RainesGermantown, TNDennis Wayne Raines, of Germantown, TN died Tuesday, September 19, 2017. He was born on March 1, 1938 in Beech Bluff, TN, son of the late Robert Jarrell Raines and Ruby Mae Matlock Raines. He grew up in Medina, TN, graduated from Medina High School, and Memphis State University where he earned a BS in Chemistry and a MBA in Marketing. Dennis worked 35 years for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in sales and marketing management. He was an active member of Colonial Park United Methodist Church.Dennis married the love of his life, Janice Rollins Raines in 1957. They celebrated 60 years of marriage this spring. Together they enjoyed traveling, playing games, gardening and spending time with their children and grandchildren. Dennis is survived by his wife, Janice Rollins Raines; children, Betsy Raines, Jeanette Rogers (Ed), Mark Raines (Shawn), his sister, Carolyn Murray (Seldon), and grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Colonial Park United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 23rd at 11 a.m., with Rev. Jathaniel Cavitt officiating. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Colonial Park United Methodist Church, 5330 Park Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119-3605.
