Derek L. BoldenBeacon - Derek LaMarr Bolden, 44, of Monticello, New York, passed away on July 5, 2017 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center. He was born on February 26, 1973 to Doice L. Hill and the late Douglas Bolden. He was the second child of a blended family.Derek attended Forrestal Elementary School, Beacon High School, and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from St. Lawrence University. After college, Derek became an educator throughout the Hudson Valley School Districts. He was also an avid chess player who excelled at analytic thinking.Derek leaves to cherish his loving memory; his ex-wife, Doris; daughter, Desiree, loving Mother, Doice Hill and stepfather, Herbert Hill; 3 brothers, Douglas, Herbert, and David; 2 sisters, Jacqueline and Terrie; mother-in-law, Iris; along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.Mr. Bolden will repose 11 a.m. - 12:00 noon, Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Beacon Light Tabernacle Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 1568 Rte 9D, Wappingers Falls, NY, 12590.
