Derrek Jefferson Hines, born on April 20, 1996, in Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on May 2, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida, at the age of 28. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and caring nature. Derrek had a deep love for only one woman, whom he cherished above all else. He found joy in playing video games and writing poetry.

Derrek is survived by his cousins, Jerome and Jason Anderson, and his aunt, Sherry Livingston. He was preceded in death by his brother James, as well as his parents.

Services for Derrek will be private and by invitation only. May he rest in peace, carrying the love he had for Alexus forever in his heart.
