Derrick Jordan, father, brother and friend, passed away on September 2, 2023, in Triangle, Virginia, United States. Born on July 30, 1980, Derrick was the son of Lester Potts, Sr and Evangeline Jordan. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
Derrick grew up in Chesapeake, Virginia, where he developed a strong work ethic and a passion for helping others. He was a man of many talents and pursued various interests throughout his life. As an avid handyman, Derrick put his time and effort into the duties of being a craftsmanship.
Professionally, Derrick was a respected business owner, known for his creativity and attention to detail. His work was admired by colleagues and clients alike. Throughout his career, he completed numerous projects throughout the UnitedStates.
Beyond his professional achievements, Derrick's greatest source of joy was his family. He had recently met his partner, Lexis Williams, and they built a beautiful relationship together as they just recently returned from a cruise 2days before his passing.
Derrick was the proud father of three wonderful children: Alyssia Jordan, Jahreil Jordan, and Brianna Jordan. He cherished each of them and enjoyed watching and being apart of their growth and happiness. He always encouraged them to pursue their dreams and to be compassionate individuals. Derrick's love and guidance will forever shape the lives of his children and the generations to come.
Derrick also leaves behind his children's mother, Laquita Jordan and brothers. Aaron, Lester, Jason and Steve. His sisters, Candance, Monique and Cheryl. Also an abundance of nieces and nephews along with a network of friends and colleagues who valued his friendship and admired his character. He had a magnetic personality and a contagious sense of humor, which brightened the lives of those around him. Derrick's generosity knew no bounds, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
In his spare time, Derrick enjoyed being the life of the party and loved to entertain his loved ones. He found solace in music and used it as an outlet for his emotions.
Derrick Jordan meant so much to his family. He will be dearly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and the community he served. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
