It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Derrick Johnston Jr, who passed away on April 30, 2024, in his hometown of Techiman, Bono East, Ghana. He was just 24 years old.

Derrick was born on April 5, 2000, to proud parents Derrick Johnston Sr and Afua Boteng. He married the love of his life, Chloe Moreau, in 2020, and the two shared many happy years together.

Derrick had a passion for education and graduated from Kintampo Senior High School in 2017. He continued his studies at Berekamp College of Education, where he excelled in his academics.

During his professional career, Derrick worked at Easy Media and IT Institute, where his colleagues remember him fondly for his hard work and dedication.

Outside of work, Derrick had a wide range of hobbies that reflected his adventurous spirit. He enjoyed sports, arts, martial arts, boxing, reading, hiking, cars, cooking, and, most of all, spending time with his beloved family.

Although Derrick and Chloe did not have any children of their own, they created a warm and loving home that was always filled with laughter and joy.

Derrick will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Rest in peace, Derrick. You will always be remembered with a smile.
