Destiny Ariel Richardson, A Mother of One, But A Light To All
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Destiny, who passed away at the young age of 26 on March 31,2023. She leaves behind her precious child Sir Liam, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Destiny Richardson was born on September 10, 1996 in New Orleans. From a young age, she was known for her kind heart, tenacious spirit, and unwavering love for those around her. She was a devoted daughter, sister, and friend. She brought joy and laughter wherever she went.
In 2022, Destiny welcomed the greatest blessing of her life - her beloved child Sir Liam. She poured her heart and soul into motherhood, and her love for her child was immeasurable. She cherished every moment spent with Sir Liam, and her legacy will live on through the love and care she gave to her child.
Destiny was known for her personality, sense of humor, intellect, and sense of style. She had a passion for advocacy, social justice, the arts, and all things black. Her creativity and talent were evident in everything she did. She had a special way of making people feel seen and heard, and her presence lit up any room she entered. Destiny was loved by all who knew her
In addition to being a dedicated mother, our dearest Destiny was also a loving friend who always made time for those in need. She had a compassionate heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Her selflessness and kindness will be remembered by all who knew her.
Destiny is survived by her adored child Sir Liam, her two loving moms Qiana and Lashanda Jackson, three dads (because one is never enough, and apparently neither is three), her 10 younger siblings, and numerous relatives and friends. Although she is no longer with us in body, her spirit will live on forever in the hearts of those she touched.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all those who have offered their condolences and support during this difficult time. A private service will be held in her memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Liam's Light, a non-profit founded by Destiny and Liam serving children in need around Houston, Texas.
Our dear Destiny, you were taken from us far too soon, but your memory will remain eternally in our hearts. Rest in peace troublemaker, knowing that you were truly loved and will be deeply missed. You will always be remembered as a loving mother, cherished daughter, and dear friend. May your soul find peace and comfort in the embrace of eternity.
With heavy hearts,
Destiny A Richardson
