Devin Josef Dorn age 25, of DeMotte, Ind. passed away Sunday September 12, 2010 in Chicago Il. He was born on June 22, 1985 in Kankakee, IL the son of Oliver and Candace (Turrell) Dorn.Devin was a 2004 graduate of the Kankakee Valley High School and a 2008 graduate from Purdue University. While in college, he spent a semester studying abroad in Singapore. Since graduation, he was employed by Ferrovial Agroman as a Production Engineer, managing bridge repair and reconstruction on the Indiana Toll Road.Devin enjoyed fishing, traveling, watching Purdue football and basketball, investing in the stock market, and working on the farm with his dad and brothers.Devin was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in DeMotte and the John Purdue Club.Devin is survived by his parents, Oliver and Candace Dorn; brother Todd (Beth Cole) Dorn and nieces Gabrielle, Shelby, Gillian and Sidney of Manteno, IL, sister Kelly VanDerAa and nephews Kees and Gage of Elmhurst, IL; sister Dana (Eric) Woo of Orland Park, IL; brother Trent (Brianne Kingma) of DeMotte and best friend and love of his life, Jamie Vander Molen of DeMotte. Friends may call on Wednesday from 2: - 9 p.m.at Jackson Funeral Service, 200 Third St. SW. DeMotte, IN. Funeral services will be at First Christian Reformed Church,1633 S Halleck St, DeMotte, IN Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Laren Zoerhof officiating.
