Burial will follow in Center Point Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 13, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Sykes Funeral Home and Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 pm at Sykes Funeral Home. Deward passed away on November 4, 2017, at his residence. He was born on November 08, 1919 in Slayden, TN to James Gafford and Lila McCollom. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Mae Gafford, and second wife, Aillene Baggett Gafford.
