Grall Araus, Diane M.Diane M. Grall Araus, age 74, of Whitelaw, died Monday, September 8, 2014 at her residence. Diane was born on September 4, 1940 in Whitelaw, daughter of the late Arthur and Cora (Giese) Grall. She was a 1958 graduate of Valders High School and a 1962 graduate of St. Norbert College in De Pere. Diane studied and completed post graduate work in French at Laval University in Quebec City, Quebec Canada and also in Lausanne, Switzerland. She taught high school Spanish and retired from the University of Wisconsin in Manitowoc. On August 4, 1972 Diane was married to Alfredo Araus at the Monastery of Veruela, Spain. He preceded her in death on October 17, 1996. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.Survivors include her one son and daughter-in-law: Marcos (Katherine) Araus, Alexandria, VA; one daughter and son-in-law: Cristina (Timothy) Carr, Whitelaw; four grandchildren: Sofia and Nicolas Araus; Cameron and Jacob Carr; two brothers and three sisters-in-law: Tom (Doris) Grall, Whitelaw; Stan (Mary) Grall, Manitowoc; Sandra Grall, Reedsville; two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Rodolfo Araus, Spain; Pilar Araus and Jose Uriel Carasa, Switzerland; Soledad Araus Palacios, Spain, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Arthur and Cora Grall; her husband: Alfredo Araus; one brother: Russel "Buzz" Grall.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 13, 2014 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 110 West Menasha Avenue, Whitelaw. Rev Richard Klingeisen will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Following burial a luncheon and fellowship gathering will be held at the St. Michael School Hall. There will be no public visitation prior to the funeral liturgy. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
