Dionisia Tabancura Fernandez, 84, of Virginia Beach, Virginia passed on March 18th, 2023. Dionisia was born June 10, 1938. A native of the Laoac, Philippines, she was the daughter of Pablo Tabancura and Theresa Rodillas. She was a graduate of Far Eastern University. She was always actively involved in the Catholic Church, serving as a eucharistic minister and a volunteer for many parish events. Throughout her life, she was a devoted spouse, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Isabelo Alejo Fernandez. She is survived by her two daughters, Martha Fernandez and husband, Russell Cook; Irene Roebuck and husband, Dennis; one son, Neil A. Fernandez and wife, Donna; and six grandchildren, Elizabeth and husband, Ryan Sabo; Ryan and wife, Ragan Cook; and Justin Cook; Christopher Roebuck; Chase and Brendon Fernandez.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 23rd at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in memory of Dionisia Fernandez to St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 712 Little Neck Road #5807, Virginia Beach, VA 23452.
There will be a reception following the entombment at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church social hall.
