Dolores Ann BaileyOxnard, CADolores Ann Molina Bailey, always called Dukie by her much loved family and friends, was born on August 29, 1943 in Richmond, Ca to Albert and Clara Reyes Molina. Her family returned to Oxnard in 1945 and Dukie never left until she completed her journey with cancer on June 7, 2017.Throughout, she maintained an upbeat and inspiring positive attitude, a bright light has been extinguished. Dukie attended local Oxnard schools and began working at the Seabee base in 1961 after her graduation from Oxnard High School. She later transferred to NSWSES in 1975. In 1981 while attending a government training class in San Diego, she met her soul mate and future husband, Carl. They both took early retirement in 1995.Dukie and Carl loved to travel and throughout their 35 years of marriage they visited all fifty states. Their love of land tours and cruising led them to many countries including Egypt, Russia, Morocco, Cuba, UK, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and many, many other wonderful places throughout the world. Dukie is survived by the love of her life, her knight in shining armor, Carl. Carl was devoted to taking care of and loving Dukie throughout their marriage and throughout her valiant and extended battle with lung cancer. She is also survived by her daughter Michele, her step-son Carl III of Cleburne Texas. Grand children Ross Spaulding Jr (wife Melissa) and Elizabeth Thayer, Great Grandson Cooper James Spaulding. Sisters Mary Duenas, Corrine Duenas, Betty Espinosa, Alberta Molina-Hedstrom and sister-in-law Joan Carlile of Shawnee, Ok and many nephews, nieces and friends.Carl would like to thank and acknowledge Dukie's doctors, Dr. Kevin Chang and Dr. Raj Bhatia for their kindness, support and excellent medical care that they gave to her when she was first diagnosed with lung cancer in May 2012 and throughout her journey. And all the staff in the infusion center.In lieu of flowers, her family is requesting a donation to to be made in her name.Her Celebration of Life will be held at the Santa Clara Cemeteries and Mortuaries on June 14, 2017 at 11:00am.
