Jan 01, 2016 - Nov 01, 2016

This obituary is administered by:
JACKSONVILLE - Dolores Arruda "Dee" Marchisillo, 43, passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3 at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel. Burial, with full military honors, will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

Dee was born on Jan. 17, 1969, in Fall River, Mass. She retired Feb. 28, 2010, as a Chief Petty Officer from the U.S. Navy attached to 2nd Dental Battalion, Camp Lejeune after 20 years of faithful and honorable service. DTC (FMF) Marchisillo's personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal and Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal (w/4 stars).

Dee loved Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz and the Wicked Witch, many times quoting "I'll get you my pretty and your little dog too." She even had a green Jeep that she loved to take to the beach. She loved all animals, including her dogs (Meadie Boyz, Carlie Mayflower, and Jenny), and was an avid supporter of the SPCA.

Most of all she loved her children and husband. As she is laid to rest, her son, Dante will be beside her, as were her wishes. Dante was born March 17, 2001, and passed away on March 18, 2001. She is now at peace and holding her little boy. She will watch and protect Aubrey, Matteo, and Marissa from Heaven.

Survivors include her husband of 13 years, Dave Marchisillo; two daughters, Aubrey Butler and Marissa "Nini" Marchisillo; one son, Matteo "Teo" Marchisillo, all of the home; mother, Elvina Arruda of Fall River, Mass.; brothers, Robert Arruda of London, England, Fernando Arruda of Florida, and Victor Arruda of Cohasset, Mass.; and two sisters, Mary Meier of Middleboro, Mass., and Ann Cinquini of Westport, Mass.

She was preceded in death by her son, Dante Thomas Marchisillo.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
