DOLORES A. SCHROEDER, 87 FORRESTON - Dolores A. Schroeder, 87, of Forreston, went to be with the Lord after a short illness on Monday, December 9, 2013, at F.H.N. Memorial Hospital. Dolores was born on October 31, 1926, in Winnebago County, the daughter of Albert and Martha (Rose) Ludwig. Dolores married Alvin "Bud" Schroeder on June 25, 1947, in Forreston. Mr. Schroeder passed away on March 19, 1980. Dolores worked for 18 years at Micro Switch. She was a member of Forreston Reformed Church. Surviving are two sons, Darwin (Betsy) Schroeder of Stockton and Kevin Schroeder of Freeport; two daughters, Vicki (Frank) Petta of Forreston and Karen (Bill) Spangler of Freeport; one brother, Norman (Mary Ellen) Ludwig of Forreston; sister-in-law, Delores Printz of Forreston; and a son-in-law, Ryan Shawd of Mitchell, S.D. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Arlyn; and daughter, Sandra. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2013, in the Forreston Reformed Church. Rev. Tim Fry will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Forreston. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
