Don E. WelshZANESVILLE: Don E. Welsh, 77, of Zanesville, passed away at 12:28 a.m. on Friday, June 21, 2013 at his residence. He was born on December 5, 1935, in Shawnee, Ohio, a son of the late Don and Mary Margaret Jaynes Welsh. He graduated from Lash High School Class of 1954. He worked several jobs prior to working for AEP where he worked for over 30 years as a maintenance supervisor for 6 counties and he was also a master electrician. He was a former member of Central Trinity United Methodist Church and was a former 32nd Degree Mason. Right after high school, Don served our country and protected our freedom by serving in the United States Army.Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Nedra Weaver Welsh; a son, Jay (Kim) Welsh; a daughter, Karen (Eric) Colopy; three grandchildren, Jessica (Ben) Lowe, Austin Colopy, and Abbey Colopy; a great granddaughter, McKenzie Lowe; and three sisters, Jackie Welsh, Carol Nolan, and Barb Jadwin.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanie Welsh.Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Monday, June 24, 2013 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at the funeral home with Jim Clegg officiating. Don will be laid to rest in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
