ANGOLA — Don Henderson, 72, of Angola, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at his residence. He spent most of his life in Steuben County and worked for 27 years at Weatherhead Brass Mill in Angola, Ind. Don was born on June 23, 1941 in Steuben County to Russell F. and Ruth (Locke) Henderson. On September 23, 1961 he married Bonnie Baker in Orland, Ind. They were married for 52 years. Bonnie survives in Angola. Also surviving Don are his two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Ted Hayes of Hamilton; Brenda and Charlie Reed of Sturgis, MI; a daughter-in-law, Jennifer (Henderson) Stump of Avilla, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, a sister and brother-in-law, Jeanette and Dalton Moore of Rome City, two honorary sisters, Leslie Fisher of Auburn and Barbara Henderson of Bronson, MI. His parents, an infant sister, Helen Henderson, two brothers, Charles and Richard Henderson, and two sons, Richard Lee Henderson and Donald G. "Buster" Henderson, II, preceded Don in death. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, at the Adams Cemetery, Bronson, Mich A viewing will take place on Friday, May 2^, at the Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 West Michigan St., LaGrange, from 4-8 p.m. Memorials may be contributed to the Parkview Home Health and Hospice Online condolences may be submitted to the family at www.fruripmayfuneralhome.com.
