Mr. Donald “Abe” Gladden died unexpectedly in his home on January 26, 2018, in Rock Hill, South Carolina at the age of 72.

Abe is survived by his wife, Carol Gladden; daughter, Angela Gladden; grandchildren, Lashaun White, Shana Morrow and Dae'shore Lyles, all of Salisbury, North Carolina; son, Michael Gladden; grandchildren, James Gladden, Ty'Riek Gladden & La'Keisha Gladden, all of Rock Hill, South Carolina; and a host of brothers, sisters and great-grandchildren.

Abe is preceded in death by his father, William G. Gladden of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and mother, Betty A. Gladden of Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Abe was born on May 10th, 1945 in Rock Hill, South Carolina to William and Betty Gladden. He graduated from Emmett Scott High School in 1963. Abe began working for U.S. Postal Services in 1955 where he later retired.

A funeral is scheduled for February 3rd, 2018 at 2:30pm at Parker Funeral Home 870 Saluda St, Rock Hill, SC 29730
