Donald BowenJacksonville, FLDonald Joseph "Joe" Bowen was born on August 11, 1951 in Clarinda, IA to the late Wayne Carl and Mildred Louise Bowen. He passed away on June 21, 2017 while living at the Clyde Lassen Veteran's Nursing Home after an extended illness at the age of 65. Joe, raised in Des Moines, IA, came to FL with the U.S. Navy in the early 1980's where he flew as an air crewman in the P-3's. After his discharge he was employed with the U.S. Postal Service. His greatest passion was for his family and bass fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Bowen; and brothers-in-law, Kenneth Dalton and Michael Woodley. Joe is survived by his wife, Cynthia "Cindy" Bowen; daughter, Marla (John) Jones; grandchildren, Kristin Hancock, Garrett Hancock, Kayla Jones, and Josh Jones; and great-grandchild Ruca Hancock, all of Orange Park, FL; sisters, Joyce Dalton, Jane (Roger) Brown, and Ruth Bowen; mother-in-law, Virginia Kinney; brother-in-law, Chris Kinney; sisters-in-law, Cheri Bowman, Janay (Jon) Baumgartner; and Cathy (Cody) Deakman, all of IA.
