JAMESTOWN — Dean Brown, 80, of Paisley, FLA, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2014. He was born on March 18, 1934 in Jamestown, OH. He enlisted in the Army as a young man and was honored to serve his country during the Korean War. In 1973, Dean relocated to Florida where he began working for and eventually retired from the State Social Services System. While in area, he was actively involved with many of the local churches, with a membership at Sorrento Christian Center, under the leadership of Pastor Earl Wright. He participated daily helping others with addictions, prayer meetings, support groups and any opportunity to share the Word of God. Preceded in death by his parents Leroy (Mack) and Ada Brown, three brothers (Frank, Robert, and Larry), and three sisters (Jessie Silcott, Anna Tucker, and Mary Alice Nobles). He is survived by two siblings, Audrey McDowell and Dr. Harold Brown; Ok Soon (Kim) Brown, wife of 35 years and constant friend; five children, Rob-ert (Cindy), Don, Emily McRoberts, John, and Rosie Stone (Theo); eleven grand-children, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday, Nov. 3rd at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia OH. Visitation starting at 10 AM. Graveside service immediately following at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bowersville, OH. Our father's passions were to help those with chemical and alcohol addictions and to assist those that have served our country.
