Donald C. Christensen1924 - 2013Donald C. Christensen, 88, of Kenosha died Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at his home. He was born on July 13, 1924, in Kenosha the son of the late Soren and Nelsina (Hansen) Christensen. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha. On May 2, 1953, in Kenosha he married Mary Ellen Huetten. Donald worked as a brick layer for various construction companies in the area. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII.He flew Cessnas, built ultra-light planes, helped build churches, loved camping and reading western books. He was a member of the Shriners, Moose Club, Masonic Lodge, Danish Brotherhood and Kenosha American Legion. He loved his dogs, Madi & Ruby, Bonsai plants and orchids.He is survived by his wife Mary Ellen of Kenosha; three children, Jeffrey (Amy) Christensen of San Diego, Calif., Shelly (Mike) Lange of Kenosha, and Tina (Richard) Christensen of Kenosha; three grandchildren Casey and Evan Chisholm & Gregory Berge.Visitation will be Monday June 17, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at Kenosha Funeral Services. A Funeral Service will be Tuesday June 18, 2013 at 11 a.m. from Kenosha Funeral Services, with entombment to follow at All Saints Cemetery.
