Donald O. Cook, 77, of Montrose, passed away after an extended illness, on Saturday, October 29, 2016, at the Endless Mountains Health systems. He was born on November 14, 1938 in Brooklyn, Pa., to the late Jay Cook and Louise (Weber) Cook Ross.Surviving are his six children, Donna, Dorie, Donald, Delores, Debbie, and Dorothy; eight siblings, Marie Goga, Charles Cook, Wilbur Ross, Jim Ross, Joanne Ross, Barbara Grisafi, Dan Ross and Ken Ross;, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers, David, Robert, and Austin Cook, Richard Ross; and sister, Dorothy Hobbs.Donnie was originally a farmer, later in life an auto mechanic and small engine repair man. He would take other people's trash and turn it into treasure, including his "snow art."He loved doing things for others, especially the children. Donnie would give anything he owned to you, if he thought you needed it. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2016, at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home.
